In partnership with Horry Georgetown Technical College and Coastal Carolina University, Student Career Connections gives students the opportunity to gain coporate business experience and grow with HTC. Students will make connections, learn about the telecommunications industry and gain an internship in their field of study. This program aims to connect students with career options after learning a foundation of knowledge through an ongoing part-time customer service position.

By leading at the front line of our cooperative, you’ll offer customized solutions, identify sales opportunities, and provide service for our members. You’ll bring your strong skills in relationship building and conflict resolution to motivate members to continue using our products. That means working with creative negotiation and sales techniques in a fast-paced environment.
What is on the line? Under general supervision, a Customer Relations Associate in our Contact Center accepts, solicits, and processes new sales of all lines of business, including but not limited to voice, tv/video, internet, and mobile services.

What’s waiting for you as an Inventory Specialist? Inventory Specialists are responsible for the receiving, stocking, and issuing of materials while keeping accurate records of all inventory transactions on a daily basis. Strong attention to detail is important when managing shelf space and ensuring all materials are properly packaged, labeled, and stocked in sufficient quantities.
Inventory Specialists have the opportunity to interact with different departments across the Cooperative through completing and delivering orders to the correct parties in a timely manner. By keeping a safe, organized, and efficient workplace as first priority, Inventory Specialists maintain, monitor, and record accurate inventory levels through inventory management and internal controls. Inventory Specialists assist in other areas of the Financial Operations Department as needed to meet the overall objectives of the department.

What’s in your future as a Systems Administrator? HTC Systems Administrators are responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and supporting server software and hardware. You will be responsible for ensuring HTC’s servers are highly available, stable, and redundant. You must be able to clearly create documentation and communicate with others. You must have previous experience administering Windows systems in an enterprise environment. Experience with application and desktop virtualization is a plus. You will work with many different technologies and will need to have a desire to learn new solutions.
Employees are given one week of PTO on their first day along with many other lucrative benefits.

What’s waiting for you as a Construction Worker? Our Construction workers interpret routine service orders and engineering work orders which diagram how cable is to be laid in trenches, plowed, or erected on pole lines. They assist in the placing of cable within the underground conduit system, placement of direct buried cable using plow, digging, trenching and boring equipment, restoring all disturbed surfaces, such as concrete and bituminous pavement, trims trees and perform other landscaping duties as necessary.

Based on applicant’s qualifications and departmental needs, the position may be filled in either a part-time or full-time status. Applicants must hold a CDL permit to be considered for a full-time role.
