What’s in your future as a Network Engineer? Network Engineers are responsible for engineering, designing, planning, and evaluating data and voice network requirements including new equipment selection, requirement specifications, requirement gathering, system integration, design selection, alternative recommendations, cost, acceptance testing, scheduling, and support. In this role, you will actively participate in projects, cross functional areas, and support other departments.
Network Engineers are also responsible for the following:
Certifications/Licensures: Must have a valid state driver’s license. Network Engineers may also be required to obtain additional certifications. Certifications that may be valuable to Network Engineers include but are not limited to: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
